The Heart Behind Thistle & Thread

Hey there! I’m Morgan — the designer, the creative, and the slightly coffee-obsessed head and heart behind the computer screen.

I’ve always had an eye for design. I’ve moved more times than I can count and experienced so many different kinds of spaces. Wherever I lived, I found myself redesigning rooms in my head, imagining their potential, and daydreaming about how to make each corner feel a little cozier. Then came the chance to design and build my forever home from scratch, and everything clicked. Pouring myself into creating a place that felt like me showed me just how powerful a thoughtfully crafted home can be. It became my haven, my calm, and the space where I feel most at peace.

For me, beautiful design isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about emotion. It’s about walking into a room and instantly feeling held, grounded, and safe. After moving into my home, I realized how each layer that I crafted into existence made me want to slow down, breathe deeper, and be more present with my family. That’s when I realized this didn’t have to be just a hobby — this was something I wanted to help others experience too.

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 12 years, and together we’re raising two amazing children. They’ve taught me the true importance of comfort, connection, and creating a home that feels like a soft landing.

Through Thistle & Thread, I want to create that same feeling for my clients. Homes and spaces that support real life, real families, and real moments. When I style a room, I do it with heart and intention (+ an iced coffee, of course). My goal? To create a space that feels like you — only a little more magical, more grounded, and more supported. Home isn’t about perfection or chasing every trend (though we can absolutely use them as inspiration). Home is about belonging. It’s where we grow, rest, and reconnect.
